Village and Cottage Developers Association (VACDA) was established in 2003 by Mr. Emmanuel Nkrumah Kwaku Assan.

VACDA-GHANA is a non-profit organization which is rooted in women support, primary health care, education, youth support and enviromental conservation. It's main project is the Royal School Complex.

Our Story
Emmanuel Assan started by moving from village to villag to educate parents the imporantce of enrolling their wards in school.
​
All this started when he was a victim himself who struggled in his village called Assin Wurakese Camp. Because of this situation, he had to stay home for 5 years after junior high school.
​
He then enrolled himself into high school by weeding under someones oil palm plantation.
​
After comleating high school VACDA-GHANA was established to help solve problems faced by rural people such as: school dropout, drinking of stagnant water or streams, poor school buildings, no school in a community, health education and many more.


Our Mission
VACDA contributes towards the sustainable improvement of the quality of life of it's constituents/beneficiaries through mobilizing support and empowerment particularly for communities in chronic government development outcast areas in rural villages and urban oriented communities.


Objectives

to ensure sound and quality education for rural children

to provide clean and sufficient drinking water and successfully implement food security project to schools and communities

to help provide access to quality primary health care services to the constituents
-
to educate communities the proper ways of waste management to help curb diseases related to poor sanitation
-
to help educate children on social emotional learning for better adulthood
-
make available recources for youth and women in the area through capacity building, vocational training, financial management and women taken leadership positions
